After putting her grandchildren to bed, a grandmother changed into old slacks and a droopy blouse and proceeded to wash her hair..As she heard the children getting more and more rambunctious, her patience grew thin. Finally, she threw a towel around her head and stormed into their room, putting them back to bed with stern warnings. As she left the room, she heard the three year old say with a trembling voice, "WHO WAS THAT?"
This joke made me LAUGH OUT LOUD! That could have been my grandson..really. Kids make you get back to the basics of life, one being the ability to laugh at yourself. My little mini mes, are the perfect remedies for a boring existence..an angry tirade..a pity party, or just a bad day in general. They make me and Grandpa laugh.
They invited themselves to spend the night a couple days ago cause they were bored at their house. After returning home, my daughter told me, my granddaughter informed her mother after finding out she stayed up late watching the TV, ( she has been staying here since her birth) "I couldn't sleep last night! Those people all snore over there, even my brother and the DOG!" Well, I have news for her, she is one of us people who snores, too! too cute! hee! hee!
A grandmother was telling her little granddaughter what her own childhood was like: "We used to skate outside on a pond. I had a swing made from a tire; it hung from a tree in our front yard. We rode on our own pony. We picked wild raspberries in the woods." The little girl was wide-eyed, taking this all in. At last she she said, "I sure wish I'd gotten to know you sooner!"

Hi-just dropped in to see your joke, thanks for the laugh!
You have wonderful grandchildren sister.
What a delightful post! Omigosh!
I'm going to have to try that on my Munchkins.
You know, I find myelf talking about the "good old days", and then I think, "Hey, wait a minute ... weren't the good old days just last week?" :-)
Trudy- Thank you for noticing her. Kaitlyn is growing into my favorite little friend and I try to make life here as fun as possible when they come over so they will have great memories like I have of my grandmother.
Thanks Kathy-I'll be checking out your place!
Kerry- Thank you. It is nice to know that others see that too.
Jo- What a delight little people are! but my older kids crack me up, too. I am always looking back (even to last night) and laughing about something stupid and funny we've all done and re-enjoying the event!
